Guest Artists to be announced
The Young Dancer Ballet Intensive curriculum is designed for pre-elementary and elementary dancers 8 to 11 years of age and up. The curriculum may include ballet technique, Pre-Pointe, beginning Pointe, repertoire, jazz, Hip Hop, Flamenco, and character. All dancers will be placed in the appropriate level based on their abilities during the first day of class. Placement will be determined by the summer intensive instructors.
Proper attire for dance is an important part of the discipline of ballet that inspires young dancers to perform their best. In addition, studio etiquette is compulsory.
Young Ladies:
- Black leotard with pink convertible tights, black convertible tights or jazz pants (worn over tights)
- Pink ballet shoes and/or Pointe shoes (if on Pointe), jazz shoes and character shoes.
- Hair MUST be in a neat netted bun, ribbon optional.
Young Men:
- black tights, plain white t-shirt
- black or white ballet shoes, jazz shoes
Studio Etiquette:
- Correct dance attire
- Hair properly fixed
- No excessive talking
- No electronic devices allowed in the studios.
- Good attendance
- Arrive on time. If you are late, wait until the exercise is complete before entering the classroom.
All dancers are expected to conduct themselves in a disciplined, responsible and courteous manner throughout the studio. Artisan reserves the right to dismiss any dancer whose attitude, conduct or attendance is deemed unsatisfactory. The studio should be notified of any absences prior to the beginning of class. Dancers will need to bring their own lunch each day. Water will be available for sale at the studio.
