Summer Intensive ~ Dance like a Princess

(or a Prince) 


Weekly Classes July 11 through August 5, 2011 from 10:00AM to 2:00PM

Ages 3 and up 

Tuition - $150 per week attending; Non-Refundable Deposit - $50 per week attending due April 18th

Maximum class size 10 dancers 

Each weekly session will include 3 dances classes and a craft.  Classes may include: Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, and  Dance Etiquette

The Dance Like a Princess (or a Prince) curriculum is designed for the young dancer 3 years of age and up.  The curriculum may include a combination of ballet, tap, jazz, Hip-hop and/or etiquette.  In addition, there will be crafts or a movie, along with breaks for lunch, snacks and resting.

Proper attire will inspire your princess or prince to dance. 

 Princess:

  • Leotard with tights or white or pink bobby socks
  • Pink ballet shoes, tap shoes and/or jazz shoes.
  • Hair pulled back in a pony tail or bun.

 Princes:

  • Black dance pants, plain white t-shirt
  • Black or white ballet shoes, tap and/or jazz shoes

Studio Etiquette:

  • Correct dance attire
  • Hair properly fixed 
  • No excessive talking
  • No electronic devices allowed in the studios. 
  • Good attendance
  • Arrive on time. If you are late, wait until the exercise is complete before entering the classroom.

All dancers are expected to conduct themselves in a disciplined, responsible and courteous manner throughout the studio. Artisan reserves the right to dismiss any dancer whose attitude, conduct or attendance is deemed unsatisfactory. The studio should be notified of any absences prior to the beginning of class. 

Established in 1996 by Artistic Director Martha Brem, Artisan School of Dance Studio is based in Northwest Houston servicing Cypress, Tomball, & Spring, specializing in Classical Ballet.  We house Artisan Ballet Company, which performs two full-length classical ballet programs a year, including The Nutcracker each holiday season. Artisan School of Dance seeks to entertain, educate, and enrich the cultural growth of the Northwest Houston area through their quality of dance. Artisan School of Dance approved for Off-Campus PE Credit in Dance for the Tomball, Cy-Fair, Spring, & Klein Independent School Districts.
