Classical Ballet Instruction


Our Ballet classes are taught by Artistic Director, Ms. Martha Brem, and Ballet Mistress, Ms. María Eugenia Bierberach.  We are also happy to introduce our newest Instructors Ms. Aria Alexkzander and Ms. Leilani Dellannoy

Artisan School of Dance offers the following Ballet classes:

TTFAn introduction to movement through music

Toddler/Pre-Primary Ballet:  For ages 2½-5 years old

Ballet Class designed to focus on developing musicality and movement

Primary Ballet:     For ages 5-6 years old

Pre-Classical Ballet class introduces a more diciplined instruction and continuing a focus on musicality and developing a strong foundation.

Ballet Level 1 & 2:  Ages 7-9; Pre-Requisite for Level 3

Introduction to Classical Ballet vocabulary and positions.  Class includes, Barre, Center, and Petite Alegro and Gran Alegro.

 

Ballet Level 3: Ages 8-9

Continuation of more advanced steps than those in Level 2. Students are expected to know and utilize French terms for Classical Ballet steps.

 Ballet Level 4:  Ages 9-11

4B - Lessons emphasizing pre-pointe work and exercises.    

4A - Lessons to introduce pointe work on bar.  Ballet Pointe shoes required. Ages 10+

Ballet Level 5,6,7,8:  Ages 11+

A continuation from level 4 (pre-pointe) with more advanced combinations than level 4. Focus is on performance, style and variations.

Established in 1996 by Artistic Director Martha Brem, Artisan School of Dance Studio is based in Northwest Houston servicing Cypress, Tomball, & Spring, specializing in Classical Ballet.  We house Artisan Ballet Company, which performs two full-length classical ballet programs a year, including The Nutcracker each holiday season. Artisan School of Dance seeks to entertain, educate, and enrich the cultural growth of the Northwest Houston area through their quality of dance. Artisan School of Dance approved for Off-Campus PE Credit in Dance for the Tomball, Cy-Fair, Spring, & Klein Independent School Districts.
