About Artisan Ballet Company:


Artisan Ballet Company (ABC) is a non-profit* organization established by Ms. Martha Brem to encourage a love of classical ballet training in dancers from the Northwest Houston area.  While doing this, Ms. Brem also hopes to promote a cultural appreciation of the performing arts.  The purpose of ABC is to encourage this love of dance by arranging educational and performance experiences for Artisan's Company dance members.  Many of these opportunitites will be achieved by exposure to a network of distinguished instructors, choreographers and directors.  Classical ballet is the foundation on which all dance is built.  Artisan Ballet Company will strive to provide the finest education and training necessary for future dancers, choreographers and teachers of tomorrow.

We believe that all aspiring dancers should have opportunitites to perform, and as such, we award scholarships to deserving students in need of financial aid.

In our efforts to bring classical ballet to our community, and in order to provide the best dance education for its members, Artisan Ballet Company presents two performances each year: The Nutcracker, to celebrate the holiday season, and a Spring recital to highlight the year's training and hard work.  Artisan Ballet Company would like to thank the following individuals, corporations and foundations for their donations towards our goal:

In addition to their year round training, each member of Artisan Ballet Company is required to attend a Summer Intensive program.  Artisan School of Dance offers a Summer Intensive Dance Program for all of our students.  In addition, many of Artisan Ballet Company's members have been accepted and attended the following Summer Intensives:

American Ballet Theatre, American Ballet Theatre-Young Dancers Workshop, NY; Atlanta Ballet; Boston Ballet; Gelsey Kirkland; Houston Ballet; The Jillana School; Joffrey-Chicago; Joffrey-South; Kansas City Ballet; Magnus Midwest; Milwaukee Ballet; Princeton Ballet School; and the Tulsa Ballet

Established in 1996 by Artistic Director Martha Brem, Artisan School of Dance Studio is based in Northwest Houston servicing Cypress, Tomball, & Spring, specializing in Classical Ballet.  We house Artisan Ballet Company, which performs two full-length classical ballet programs a year, including The Nutcracker each holiday season. Artisan School of Dance seeks to entertain, educate, and enrich the cultural growth of the Northwest Houston area through their quality of dance. Artisan School of Dance approved for Off-Campus PE Credit in Dance for the Tomball, Cy-Fair, Spring, & Klein Independent School Districts.
